An Albuquerque builder is opening a second phase at the Mesa Del Sol master plan and plans to complete more than dozen new homes this year, according to a development agreement announced Tuesday. The Albuquerque Journal reports:

Westway Homes said it is looking to build 13 homes on three acres of land near Stryker and University, according to a news release from MDS Funding LLC, the newly formed investment group that recently acquired 2,800 acres within the 12,900-acre master-planned community of commercial and residential properties.

Terms of the land purchase agreement between MDS and Westway were not disclosed.

Groundbreaking will commence soon on Westway’s second phase of construction in the subdivison. The plan is to have a new model home completed this fall in time for the Parade of Homes event, according to a Westway executive.
