Landeavor, LLC, and affiliates of Walton Street Capital, L.L.C. on Thursday announced the purchase of Oakland Park, a 258-acre, traditional neighborhood development master plan located on the border of Winter Garden, FL, and Oakland, FL.

"Oakland Park is an exciting investment for us and our partners at Walton Street," said Adam Lorry, managing principal of Landeavor. "It's an iconic community with distinctive architecture, nearly a mile of frontage on Lake Apopka and on-site access to the West Orange Trail, providing a short walk or bike ride to the City of Winter Garden and the Town of Oakland. Plus, with easy access to the Florida Turnpike, it's a short commute into downtown Orlando and numerous job centers."

Oakland Park is also a certified green development by the Florida Green Building Coalition and every home within the community is built to FGBC green standards. With nearly a mile of protected shoreline along Lake Apopka, nature and preservation are important standards for the community. Trails, the community garden and parks and tree hammocks ensure at many elements of the unique Central Florida landscape are preserved.

More than 300 homes have been completed in Oakland Park. The Landeavor and Walton Street entity acquired the remaining unsold vacant developed lots, undeveloped parcels, a commercially-zoned parcel and the community's HOA amenity and common space.

Landeavor intends to expand the housing available within the community by immediately developing more home sites and expanding inventory.

"New home inventory in the immediate area is very scarce. We plan to immediately commence development of additional lots in order to ease the inventory pressure on our builder partners," Lorry said.

Oakland Park home builders include David Weekley Homes, Dream Finders Homes, and a team of custom builders including J&J Building, RCB Homes, Vintage Estate Homes, Campbell Custom Homes and Wallace Design Build.

The purchase marks Landeavor's third acquisition in the state of Florida as it continues its second decade of expansion through acquisition of land in high-growth sunbelt states.
