Del Webb has begun construction on a 19,000-square-foot clubhouse, The Meridian at Bexley in Land O'Lakes, Fla., which includes a resort style pool, resistance pool, pickle ball courts, state of the art fitness center and other active-adult facilities as part of a $14 million project for future residents.
“People will see the community coming to life when they visit models that will open early next year,” said Sean Strickler, president of Pulte’s West Florida division. “Del Webb offers more than just a home, it is a lifestyle and a place to belong."
The coastal style clubhouse will serve as a community hub for residents. Equipped with large, open windows, food, beer and wine at the Crow’s Nest Café, fitness center, resort-style community pool, dog park, community garden, pickle ball and tennis courts and a large social room, the clubhouse will be a pivotal location for activities that are the hallmark of Del Webb communities. A full-time lifestyle director will manage social and recreational programs that promote mental and physical well-being.
Del Webb has long pioneered communities for those 55 and older offering socially active lifestyles and low-maintenance living. Del Webb Bexley is the first to be built from the ground up in the Tampa Bay area since 1960.
