D.R. Horton has obtained approval for a second phase at its Cross Creek development near Jacksonville. The Daily Record reports
D.R. Horton proposes to build an additional 577 single-family homes and an amenity center as part of the second phase of the Cross Creek subdivision in Clay County.
In the first phase, the homebuilder is constructing 421 homes, which are slated to be available for sale this month. The additional sites boost Cross Creek to 998 lots.
Cross Creek is on 970 acres next to Russell Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, west of the intersection of Sandridge and Russell roads.
The company submitted its second phase and amenity center plans in December to the St. Johns River Water Management District.
D.R. Horton received approval in October 2016 to build the first phase, which comprises 421 homes on 246 acres.
The second phase proposes to place 577 lots on 340 acres to the southeast of the first phase.
