Century Communities, Greenwood Village, Col. (NYSE:CCS) has purchased nearly 50 acres of land in Hadley Park at Arrowood Station near Charlotte with plans to build 239 townhomes within walking distance of Charlotte’s light rail system, Adjacent to the Lynx Blue Line’s Arrowood Station, the Hadley Park community represents one of the few new home developments bordering the rail line that is focused on supporting attainability in the competitive housing market, priced within the low $200s.
Century Communities’ Hadley Park will offer alternatives to traditional single-family homes, with a particular focus on first-time home buyers. With the city’s population expected to grow approximately 35% by 2030, the demand for urban, high-density developments in Charlotte will continue to grow. Recognizing this expanding segment, Century Communities aims to boost home ownership by addressing both the urban and attainable demands of the market through the introduction of innovative townhomes that back to the Arrowood light rail station.
In line with the city’s efforts for sustainable growth, Hadley Park will offer mobility to home buyers via the Lynx Blue Line. With the city continuing to address the growing traffic congestion in part through investment in public transit, the Lynx represents the nation’s 18th largest light rail system by ridership. Currently under expansion, the light rail will extend 9.3 miles north to connect to the UNC Charlotte campus, with plans for continued expansion.
The light rail currently offers proximity to major employment centers including Ballantyne Corporate Park, Westinghouse Industrial Park, uptown employers, Bank of America Stadium and other recreational/entertainment venues.
Century Communities plans to build two styles of townhomes offering attached garages, multiple bedrooms, chef’s kitchens, entertaining and living areas. Hadley Park will open for limited sales as construction begins in September, with two model homes onsite by early 2018.

This is the first townhome development within Charlotte for Century Communities, which opened its North Carolina division earlier in the year. Century Communities recently merged with UCP, Inc., combining the existing Charlotte division of Benchmark Communities into its operations.
The community will feature a zero-entry pool with shaded cabanas. Designated as a low-maintenance community, the HOA will maintain all common areas and the planned amenity center to support a mobile lifestyle for residents.
