Dream Finders Homes is setting up shop in Arizona with the launch of its Phoenix division following the acquisition of 282 homesites in the market.

“Dream Finders Homes is very bullish on the Phoenix market and is making a substantial investment here, starting with Bella Vista Farms and El Cidro,” says Tyler Champlin, Phoenix division president for Dream Finders Homes.

“Phoenix is a great market, with an influx of new residents from California and the Midwest. The market is also experiencing major industrial growth. We are excited about the potential here and hope to top 500 annual closings in the next few years.”

Within the fourth phase of San Tan Valley’s Bella Vista Farms from developer El Dorado Holdings, Dream Finders Homes acquired 122 50-foot homesites. Home sales within the community are expected to begin the third quarter of 2025.

In Goodyear’s El Cidro community, the home builder purchased 160 50-foot homesites with sales expected to begin late next summer.

The homes are expected to start in the mid $400,000s, which Champlin says is an affordable price point for Maricopa County. A broader selection of floor plans is planned as Dream Finders Homes continues to grow its presence in the market.

Champlin adds, “Our primary focus will be single-family detached, with home designs for the entry-level buyer to second time move-up buyer.”

Phoenix will be the westernmost market for Dream Finders Homes—which is No. 14 on the 2024 Builder 100—that currently builds in nine states including Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

“We’re excited to expand our footprint further west with our entry into the dynamic Phoenix market,” says Liesel Cooper, regional president over Arizona and Colorado operations. “This move continues our expansive growth over the past few years and our forward advance in the list of the nation’s top-selling builders.”

Champlin is not new to the Phoenix area where he began his real estate career nearly 20 years ago but is new to Dream Finders Homes. Prior to his current role, he served as vice president of land acquisition for Meritage Homes, was in project management for Lennar, and was vice president of operations for Starwood Land Advisors.
