The New Home Company (NYSE: NWHM) on Tuesday announced the opening of its sales gallery at Agave, its first 55+ age-restricted community in Orange County. The neighborhood will contain 80 single-story flats within the La Floresta master plan in Brea.
A model home Grand Opening for Agave is anticipated for late October 2017.
Agave, named for the perennial herb Agave Shawi native to the habitats along the Southern California coast, is located at the northernmost edge of La Floresta’s gated and 55+ age-restricted enclave of Buena Vida.
Designed by the Dahlin Group, the residences of Agave will offer a new and distinct architectural style to La Floresta and Buena Vida: Stacked single-story flats conceived to provide a convenient, turn-key lifestyle. The homes will be served by semi-private elevators with direct access to each unit and will range from 1,379 to 1,726 square feet with up to three bedrooms plus den, two baths and a private deck area. Homes start in the mid $600,000s.
“Agave will offer the ideal opportunity for 55+ homeowners who want to remain in the heart of Orange County with the benefits of a low-maintenance residence in a gated community,” said NEW HOME Chief Marketing Officer Joan Marcus-Colvin. “We’ve put a tremendous amount of thought and care into the design of these homes and we look forward to bringing them to market.”
Set within an intimate, pedestrian-friendly land plan, the La Floresta master-planned community embraces Brea’s lively atmosphere. Walking, biking and meandering trails link people and places within La Floresta. Agave residents will enjoy full access to the Buena Vida Clubhouse, an exclusive recreation center with pool and social activities.
The community’s adjacent retail center, Village of La Floresta, is easily accessible to Agave and features indoor/outdoor dining, charming shops and offices.
