New Home Co.—No. 85 on the 2024 Builder 100—announced it has finalized a transaction for the purchase of 105 homesites in Georgetown, Texas.
The land was acquired from Riverside Resources for more than $17 million and construction is now underway for single-family detached residences in Bluffview.
“We’re excited to bring the New Home Co. brand to Georgetown, the most active submarket in greater Austin,” says John Bohnen, chief operating officer for New Home Co. “As we continue to aggressively grow in Texas, we think it’s important for prospective home buyers to know that we have the support of our capital partners, Apollo-managed investment funds, who provide differentiated, flexible, and scaled resources to support our expansion here and throughout the western U.S.”
The home builder entered Texas last November with the acquisition of Hamilton Thomas Homes and now operates multiple communities in the Austin and Houston markets.
Bluffview, which will feature homes on 50- and 60-foot homesites, is New Home Co.’s fourth community in greater Austin, and it plans to begin sales and debut model homes in late 2025.
“We anticipate swift progress at Bluffview, where we will provide a move-up product to buyers seeking top-rated schools, scenic views, and direct access to the San Gabriel River Trail—all just minutes from downtown Georgetown and I-35 for convenient commutes to major employers like Apple and Dell and the natural beauty of Texas Hill Country," continues Bohnen.
