M/I Homes has sold and closed on a home constructed for the Greater Houston Builders Association Benefit Homes Project, built with donated materials, labor, and services. M/I Homes donated its construction management, and The Howard Hughes Corporation donated a lot in Bridgeland, a 11,400-acre master-planned community in Cypress, Tex.

M/I Homes presented a check for the home’s sales proceeds, $244,000, at the most recent GHBA board meeting. The proceeds will be divided between two local charities, HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.

“The board of directors for the GHBA was honored to accept the check from M/I Homes,” said John Williams, president of the GHBA. “This effort between M/I Homes and the Howard Hughes Corporation will make a difference within our community as the funds will help two deserving charities. We cannot thank them and the vendors and suppliers who donated their materials and services enough for such a successful 2019 Benefit Homes Project.”
