Lennar has announced its acquisition of 130 acres of land in Henderson, Nev., as well as the construction of a new master-planned community of up to 900 homes on the site.
Formerly the site of the Black Mountain Golf and Country Club, the upcoming Black Mountain Ranch master plan will be divided into five neighborhoods, offering buyers a choice of single-family detached homes, single-family attached homes, or an active adult community for buyers 55 and older. The homes will range from 1,600 to 3,300 square feet in size, and feature a choice of mid-century modern, western contemporary, or modern prairie exteriors.
"The architectural variety has been carefully selected to embody the historic context of the surrounding neighborhood with a nod toward the excitement of nearby Water Street," says Dave Cornoyer, forward planning manager for Lennar’s Las Vegas division.
The floor plans are arranged around a central great room, which flow into gourmet kitchens and owner's suites. All single-family attached and detached homes will feature Lennar’s Next Gen suite, which may be used to accommodate a home office, a home gym, or living quarters for a parent or relative.
The community will be located within walking distance from Henderson’s downtown, including restaurants, retail, and entertainment facilities. Amenities will includes over 9 acres of public parks and trails, including a trailhead and pathway enhancements to the existing Harry Reid Union Pacific Rail Road Trail, as well as a half-acre swimming pool, children's play areas, picnic and barbecue sites, shade sites, and pickle ball courts.

Site work at Black Mountain Ranch is expected to begin in spring 2021, with new homes available in spring 2022.
