iDevices, Hubbel Incorporated’s smart home tech division, has partnered with Shea Homes to provide smart lighting control hardware for the SheaConnect suite of smart home features. Through this partnership, all new SheaConnect homes – which make up most of the new homes built by Shea Homes – will include an iDevices Wall Switch as standard.

On top of a rocker-style manual control, the Wall Switch allows users to schedule and control their home’s lighting functions using a voice assistant, including Siri, Amazon Alexa or Google, or the iDevices Connected app, which allows users to create custom scenes. Each of the iDevices products receives regular over-the-air updates, allowing for new features and capabilities without any manual installation.

“We’re proud to partner with Shea Homes, a highly respected national homebuilder, to help make their SheaConnect homes smart from the start,” says Brian Hoddy, director of sales for iDevices. “For builders like Shea Homes, our integrated smart home products are simple to install and provide homeowners with the freedom to select the smart home platform of their choice once they move in.”

Shea Homes has built more than 110,000 homes since its founding in 1960. The builder is active in California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia and Texas.
