Capstone Communities has unveiled new details about a low-density, single-family build-to-rent development section coming to the Nexton master-planned community in Summerville, South Carolina. The 282-unit project will include one-, two-, and three-bedroom cottages, as well as studio lofts and two-story carriage homes, ranging from 650 to 1,350 square feet in size. The first units are set to deliver in late 2021, with full completion in 2022.
The community is aimed at young professionals, empty nesters, and anyone looking for “transitional” housing in the Charleston area. Each cottage includes a private fenced yard, and units feature 9- to 12-foot ceilings, quartz countertops, and smart home tech packages.
“The Capstone development offers single-family rental homes in a suburban environment with amenities and services typically found in more urban settings, all of which are highly desirable right now,” said Nexton’s vice president of operations Brent Gibadlo in a news release.
“This will be an attractive housing option for the area’s medical professionals, recent graduates and others who are in a life transitional phase – whether moving to a new city, preparing to eventually buy a home, or downsizing,” said John Acken, executive vice president of development for Capstone Communities.
