Products distributor Winsupply Inc. has partnered with American Standard to introduce virtual reality and augmented reality experiences in its plumbing showrooms.

The Libby (Luxurious Inspiration Built By You) VR Winsupply Virtual Showroom package allows potential customers to personalize their experience and shop for their desired bath or kitchen fixtures in a 3D environment. The customer will be able to customize shower systems, bathtubs, faucets and vanities in the virtual reality, as well as textures, flooring, and paint colors.

“Whether your home tastes are traditional, transitional, or modern, we have a virtual environment for you to customize and find design inspiration,” says Daryn Cherry, national showroom manager, Winsupply Inc. “You’ll be able to design a master bath, guest bath or even a powder room. Utilizing Oculus Rift VR goggles, it will look as if you’re immersed in the bathroom of your dreams. You’ll be able to move around in the room virtually to see and instantly change each element, from the flooring to the shower fixtures to the vanity sinks.”

The Libby AR component, which is available now on the iOS App Store and Google Play, allows customers to observe 3D models of faucets and fixtures in their own bathrooms or kitchens. The customer can place a printed marker at their desired location, which the app uses as an anchor point to show the customer how the fixture would look in their space. Users of both apps may construct a list of favorite products to show designers, builders, or family members later.

Winsupply is conducting its initial Virtual Showroom rollout in 10 Winsupply showrooms across the U.S., including Winsupply, Winnelson and Noland locations. It will appear in more showrooms in 2018. www.winsupplyinc.com
