Situated roughly 40 miles south of Austin in Wimberley, Texas, ICON has launched its newest collection of homes at Wimberley Springs.

The eight single-family houses feature designs from the company’s new CODEX digital architecture catalog and range from 2,800 to 4,000 square feet with four to five bedrooms.

“ICON’s aim is for CODEX to be the most comprehensive digital catalog of buildable home designs in the world,” reads the press release from March when the catalog was first announced. “It empowers ICON customers to select preferred designs as a starting point for their master-planned communities and developments.”

At Wimberley Springs, home buyers can select from four different floor plans from ICON’s AlphaBeta and TextNext collections. According to ICON, the AlphaBeta designs are the most spacious and luxurious, introducing contemporary open floor plans with light-filled interiors. The TexNext designs by architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), honor Texas history and architectural heritage while reimagining it for the future.

Breaking ground this summer, these innovative homes are planned to include:

  • ICON’s proprietary low-carbon material CarbonX, which is extruded through the company’s 3D printers;
  • A high thermal performance, due to the concrete construction, that slows heat transfer in and out of the home, allowing the structure to better withstand temperature swings;
  • Strength and durability, also due to the concrete, and has been tested to withstand wind speeds of up to 250 mph;
  • Smart home features, including smart thermostats and video doorbells;
  • Energy-efficient measures, where the homes will be certified to the EnergyStar home standard developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and rated by the Home Energy Rating System (HERS);
  • Elevated finishes, such as large format floor-to-ceiling windows, standing seam metal roofs, porcelain tile backsplash, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and induction cooktops.

Homes are now available for pre-sale starting in the upper $800s.
