WHY IT WORKED: No home backs up to another at Edenfield, one reason for the success of the 2,000-acre Seven Oaks' master planned community north of Tampa, Fla. Most Edenfield home sites overlook ponds or wetland conservation areas.
- The 2,083-square-foot Mayfair model features a two-car garage, vaulted ceilings, four bedrooms, and a light-filled lanai at the back of the house.
- Residents have access to all of Seven Oaks' amenities, including a 17-acre clubhouse and sports complex with two pools, a shallow-splash children's water park, and five tennis courts.
- During the first half of 2005, builders at Seven Oaks sold more than one new home a day, generating $86 million in sales volume. Nearly 1,200 homes have been sold since the community opened in the spring of 2002.
