Production has come a long way in the name of design, especially in the kitchen. Parkside Residence is living proof. The judges deemed it “a good model to emulate,” for several reasons. The appliances, they said, are in synch with the rest of the room and aren’t “screaming for attention.” Thoughtful fridge placement and the work island’s black granite waterfall detail add a custom, built-in feel. A full-height pantry wall cabinet, subway tile vertically installed, and a slatted wall screen add a feeling of height to the room.

Parkside Residence won Project of the Year for Production in the 2013 Builder’s Choice and Custom Home Design Awards. With its view of the site and downtown, home’s kitchen embraces the indoor-outdoor flow that homeowners crave: engaged with both the site and with the entirety the house.
