Production has come a long way in the name of design, especially in the kitchen. Parkside Residence is living proof. The judges deemed it “a good model to emulate,” for several reasons. The appliances, they said, are in synch with the rest of the room and aren’t “screaming for attention.” Thoughtful fridge placement and the work island’s black granite waterfall detail add a custom, built-in feel. A full-height pantry wall cabinet, subway tile vertically installed, and a slatted wall screen add a feeling of height to the room.
