C2 Paint has named Pueblo as its 2027 Color of the Year. The warm hue moves between earth, rose, and brown, revealing a different character as the light shifts throughout the day.
The color pick leads Rural Renaissance, C2’s 2027 color story, which leans into the exploration of rediscovering curiosity, creativity, appetite, and experiences that activate the senses.
“We’ve all been in a period of restoration and renewal, so we asked ourselves: What comes next? We reengage. We rediscover what inspires us, activates our senses, and brings color back to our cheeks,” says Philippa Radon, interior designer and C2 Paint color specialist.
“There is something distinctly human about Pueblo. It refuses to be just one thing. There is an earthen quality but also rose. Brown softened by warmth. In one light it feels muted and grounded; in another, its rosy undertones come forward. Morning, afternoon, and evening each reveal something different. That complexity is what drew us to it.”

In the palette, Pueblo is joined by Death by Chocolate, Ambrosia, and Element, three colors that reveal different aspects of the main hue. Together, the colors feel collected rather than prescribed, with depth, softness, earthiness and freshness.
- Death by Chocolate (C2-805) brings richness. It recalls cacao, coffee, dark wood, and rich soil. Beside Pueblo, it draws out the color’s rosy warmth while giving the palette weight and sophistication.
- Ambrosia (C2-529) introduces softness. The pale, peachy warmth illuminates Pueblo’s rose undertones and gives the deeper colors room to breathe.
- Element (C2-685) brings a quiet, mineral green to the collection. It reflects the subtle greens found in stone, dried grasses, leaves, and landscapes bleached by light. Paired with Pueblo, it provides balance and enhances Pueblo’s warmth.
