UNDER-SINK STORAGE
Filter House Bathroom, North Kona, Hawaii
Builder: Oakes Management LLC, Kamuela, Hawaii
Architect: Zak Architecture, San Francisco
Photographer: Matthew Millman
Homeowners can never get enough storage in the bathroom. This Hawaii home takes a cue from top-flight hotels with a tucked-under place for towels and toiletries: a cantilevered shelf under the sink. This design move maximizes the often unused space under a floating cabinet and easily can be achieved with a painted or stained wood plank installed onto a discreet underneath mount.
