The California-based developer/builder New Home Company took home 14 awards at Friday Night’s 2016 Northern California MAME Awards ceremony in Sacramento, Calif. These honors included the three most prestigious MAME Awards: Master-Planned Community of the Year for The Cannery community, Attached Community of the Year for Heirloom at The Cannery, and Community of the Year over $750,000 for Sage at The Cannery.
New Home has shared the Master-Planned Community of the Year award with The Cannery’s many marketing, design, and development partners. One partner, Paolucci Salling & Martin Communication Arts, received six of the community’s additional eleven awards: Best Logo Design, Best Brochure, Best Social Media Campaign, Best Direct Mail, Best Print Ad or Campaign, and Best Website for a Master Planned Community.
JZMK Partners received the Best Attached Architectural Design award, Outdoor Dimensions received the Best Sign Program award, Meridian Interiors received the Best Attached Interior design award, Woodley Architectural Group received the Best Architectural Design $750,000+ award, and four partner firms received the Best Sales Office/Pavilion award.
Also honored at the ceremony were CalAtlantic Homes, which won Best Architecture (JZMK Partners) and Community of the Year for its Beech at The Cannery neighborhood, and Jeffrey DeMure + Associates Architects Planners, Inc., which won Attached Community of the Year for its work on the Heirloom project.

It’s a special place, one that hundreds of buyers will soon call their home.”
The Cannery, which is located in Davis, Calif., has achieved fame for being California’s first farm-to-table new home community. Neither The Cannery nor New Home are strangers to awards recognition: The Cannery has been named the 2016 “Master-Planned Community of the Year” by the NAHB, and won a Grand Award for “Residential Community of the Year – Master Plan” at the 2016 Gold Nugget Awards. The community will also be featured tomorrow as one of the Sacramento Business Journal’s Best Real Estate Projects of the year.
