The Naval Facilities Engineering Command was one of five winners of the EPA’s 2003 National Smart Growth Achievement Awards. The EPA recognized the Village at Naval Training Center, a San Diego community that reuses a portion of a decommissioned training center and creates attractive, affordable housing for military families.
