
Today, The American Institute of Architects announced the winners of its 2021 Housing Awards, naming 10 projects that showcase "the best in housing design for new construction, renovations, and restorations," according to an AIA press release. Now in its 21st year, AIA's Housing Awards are organized into four different categories: one- and two-family custom residences; one- and two-family production homes; multifamily housing; and specialized housing.
The jury for the 2021 AIA Housing Awards comprised chair Ceara O’Leary, AIA, Detroit Collaborative Design Center, in Detroit; Allison Anderson, AIA, Unabridged Architecture, in St. Louis; Kelly Beamon, Metropolis, in New York; Alex Salazar, AIA, Salazar Architect in Portland, Oregon; and Roberta Washington, FAIA, Roberta Washington Architects, in New York.
