The National Association of Home Builders announced the category winners and Best in Show winner of the 2018 Best of IBS Awards at the 2018 NAHB International Builders Show on January 11th, 2018. The AeroBarrier by Aeroseal LLC was deemed Best in Show, and also won the category award for Most Innovative Building Product.
The awards received over 300 entries, of which ten were named category winners. The 27 media and industry judges based their selections on the following three criteria: Innovative, meaning that the product is either new or significantly changed, Functionality, meaning that the product will be well-used by builders and consumers, and Good Design, or the product’s ability to solve a specific issue.
The winners in each category are as follows:

- Best Bath Product: Precision Frameworks Easy Frame by Precision Frameworks
- Best Energy-Efficient Product: Ecobee4 by ecobee
- Best Green Building Product: DLS Series SL280NV Ultra-Low NOx Furnace by Lennox Industries
- Best Home Technology Product: Onelink Safe and Sound Smoke/CO Alarm by BRK Brands, Inc.
- Best Indoor Living Product: Home Automation Hub by Eaton
- Best Kitchen Product: Artis Wall™ by ARTISWALL
- Best Outdoor Living Product: Aero-Therm Innovative Coatings by Advance Coatings Group, Aquor House Hydrant by Aquor Water Systems (Tie)
- Best Window & Door Product: VELUX Active by VELUX America Inc.
