CURBED's Lauren Ro shares a look at a modern Sharon, Conn., home designed by Brooklyn-based architect Lynn Gaffney. Located in the historic area of Ellsworth, the home was Gaffney's own residence since 2005.
Inspired by her fascination with barns and shed structures, Gaffney created a sustainable retreat characterized by prefabricated structural insulated panels, an overhanging roof clad in standing seam metal, and siding made from composite plastic decking for durability.
