

A Utah construction company, Sorensen Companies, Inc., has partnered with the U.S. Army to provide young recruits with career opportunities after their enlistment or training, the Deseret News reports. The agreement is part of the Partnership for Youth Success program, a nationwide Army recruiting program that guarantees future soldiers and ROTC cadets job interviews and possible employment when they return from service.
Sorensen Companies is one 16 Utah partners and 749 across the United States. Chad Sorensen, the president of Sorensen, said his company has had a lot of success employing veterans previously.
Sorensen, who learned about the program about six months ago from a friend in Army recruiting, said he is excited to offer "gainful employment" to members and veterans of the armed forces.
"We’ve just had so much success in construction with Army, Air Force, Marines," he said. "We’ve had a lot of them all.”
