KB Home (NYSE: KBH) on Wednesday said it will include door hardware from Kwikset that features Microban® antimicrobial product protection.
Kwikset products with Microban protection incorporate an antimicrobial coating that inhibits the growth of bacteria on door hardware. The silver-based technology featured on these Kwikset products is specially formulated for door hardware and is designed to provide antimicrobial protection for the lifetime of the products, including those used in high-traffic areas like bedrooms and bathrooms.
Kwikset, an industry leader in lock manufacturing, has been a KB Home partner for more than 20 years. Many of its innovative products, such as the Kwikset Touch-to-Open™ Kevo™ smart locks with Bluetooth® technology, are offered at the KB Home Design Studio. At the Studios, homebuyers can work with one of KB Home's design professionals to personalize many aspects of their new home to their budget and personal preferences.
