Maryland police made an arrest Friday in the Wednesday murder of Ryan Homes sales agent Steven Wilson, a father of two, who was alone inside a model home at the Shipley Homestead community in Hanover when the crime occurred shortly after 5 p.m.
The crime has set area real estate sales agents on edge, but police during a press conference Friday morning said they had no reason to believe that other agents were being targeted. CBS Baltimore reports:
Anne Arundel County Police said 18-year-old Dillon Nicholas Augustyniak of 7800 block of Clark Road in Jessup is being charged in the murder of Wilson.
Augustyniak was arrested Friday morning at a home in Baltimore City.
Police said he fatally shot Wilson during a robbery.
Augustyniak was charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, theft and use of a firearm in a violent crime.
A GoFundMe page has been established to support Wilson's children, and after just 13 hours, it had topped its goal of $10,000.
