
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Dr. Phillips Charities and David Weekley Homes have submitted plans to build 119 townhouses and duplexes as part of what's becoming known as the Packing District in Orlando. The development has 202 acres set aside for the community of which about 100 will be devoted to parks, tennis courts, and sports fields.
Dr. Phillips Charities and David Weekley Homes did not respond to a request for comment. About 20 of the units would be duplexes and 80 would be two and three-story townhomes. Documents did not reveal the square footage, number of bedrooms or price of the proposed units. But plans due include alley access behind each of the units and 21 street parking spaces in front.
It’s the second residential property for the Packing District, following a 310-unit apartment complex from San Antonio developer Embry Partners that was revealed in November. There is also a food hall, along with other retail and restaurant plans for the Packing
