Dream Finders Homes—No. 24 on the 2021 Builder 100—is expanding its presence in Northern Virginia. The national home builder, based in Jacksonville, Florida, is opening three new communities and has secured homesites in three additional communities.
“While Dream Finders Homes may still be a relatively new name here, we entered the Northern Virginia market with a strong commitment to establishing our footprint here,” said division president Jon Adler. “Over the past year, we have done exactly that, assembling a strong local team that has extensive experience and deep industry connections, and partnering with local land sellers, developers, and trade partners, all of whom have strong reputations.”
Construction started in November on the three new-home communities, including:
- East Quarter in Leesburg, which will feature 64 24-foot-wide townhome plans;
- Jefferson Square in Manassas, which will feature 85 townhomes and 14 single-family detached homes; and
- Whitson Woods in Stafford, which will feature 55 22-foot-wide, front-load townhomes.
Dream Finders Homes also has secured homesites in Ashburn, Fairfax, and Leesburg.
Home construction on the residential portion of the mixed-use Potomac Station Marketplace in Leesburg is expected to begin early this year. Plans call for 61 townhomes and 42 two-over-two condominiums.
Waxpool Crossing in Ashburn will include 200 stacked multifamily units, with two-over-two and back-to-back units. Land development began in November, with construction slated to begin this spring.
Construction also is expected to begin this spring on Fairfax Landing, formerly known as the Thompson Property, which will feature 23 single-family detached homes.
“Dream Finders Homes keeps the all-embracing, multifaceted essence of Northern Virginia in mind when selecting areas in which to build and designing new, innovative floor plans,” adds Adler. “From traditional single-family homes tucked behind tree-lined streets to grand urban townhomes in the heart of downtown, we aim to build homes based on the way we live today.”
The home builder is in more than 150 communities in eight states—Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
