According to Curbed Atlanta, a pocket neighborhood in Ormewood Park which is just east of downtown Atlanta is still under construction despite concerns about the virus. Construction and home building are considered essential businesses in the city. When finished the new neighborhood will offer twenty new homes priced in the low 600's. Home sizes range from 1,724 to 2,433 square feet, with three or four bedrooms. Each house will have two and a half bathrooms.
That’s a higher starting point for the community than initially planned, as previous developers had shared early last year. Communal interactions at Vernon will be encouraged, as each home will come with either front or back porches. Parking options range from single-vehicle carports to two-car garages.
The highest home prices are expected to top out in the mid-$600,000s, with delivery expected this summer.Project reps note that a neighborhood HOA will be responsible for landscaping common areas and maintaining streetlights.
