On February 3rd, 2020, surfaces manufacturer Caesarstone will formally launch its Masters of Stone initiative, a series of professional seminars, web resources and e-learning modules available for free to anyone in the quartz fabrication industry. The program is designed to educate quartz fabricators at large about issues of health and safety in the workplace, with an especial focus on eliminating the dangers of respirable crystalline silica dust, the root cause of silicosis.
“We often hear feedback from fabricators around the world that safety guidelines can be complicated and confusing, and that they lack knowledge about this issue,” says Elizabeth Margles, vice president of marketing for Caesarstone North America. “So we took on the challenge of making safety knowledge easily and clearly accessible to managers and employees in our industry by developing, among other means, a unique online Training Center especially for Masters of Stone. When dealing with the dust risk and its implications, we at Caesarstone are determined to become part of the solution by being proactive and leading the revolution to create a safer work environment for all.”
Caesarstone is holding two Masters of Stone seminars ahead of the formal launch on January 28th and 29th, 2020 at the International Surface Event in Las Vegas. The first Masters of Stone seminar was held in conjunction with Rockheads Group USA, and the second will be attended by Caesarstone fabricator partners.
The website and e-learning modules will be available to quartz fabricators around the world, starting with Caesarstone’s fabricators, in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Hebrew. Once enrolled at mos.caesarstone.com, users can access health and safety information, guidelines, methods and collateral through a mobile-accessible platform designed to present complex content in a user-friendly manner.
The program will continue with a slate of professional seminars on fabrication safety in select U.S. locations.
