Betenbough Homes has started construction on a 14-home community in Stanton, Texas, about 20 miles east of Midland, the Midland Reporter-Telegram reports. The new community will be called Buffalo Estates and offers easy access to Midland, Big Spring, or Odessa. “We are excited to be welcome in Stanton,” said Marisol Seegers, sales manager at the Betenbough Midland office.
Betenbough’s website shows potential buyers have options if they choose Buffalo Estates. The 14-home development will include four-bedroom homes from 2,050 to 2,603 square feet. Prices for homes start at $290,800 and top out at $341,375.
Betenbough already has a large presence in Midland with 800 homes completed in Legends Park near the Scharbauer Sports Complex in west Midland. Lone Star Trails in north Midland will include 950 homes when it is completed, Seegers said.
Betenbough’s website shows home prices in Stanton are higher than prices of similar homes in Midland. For instance, Betenbough’s home called the “Meredith” is a four-bedroom, three-bath, 2,562-square-foot home. At Lone Star Trails that home is shown to cost $298,950. Inside Buffalo Trails, the price is listed as $326,075. The Meredith at Mission Estates – Betenbough’s development in Odessa – is $389,300. At one Lubbock area development, the Meredith is listed at $251,950.
Seegers said the cost of land is a big reason for the higher costs of homes, whether one is comparing Midland to Odessa, Stanton or Lubbock, where Betenbough is headquartered.
