According to the Dallas Morning News, the B/K Multifamily firm bought up 25 acres in the mixed-use Frisco Square development project - a parcel that's zoned for over 1,600 apartments, condos and other residential units. The new owners will be partnered up with urban planner TBG and Torti Gallas + Partners. In addition to the residential units the development will include a traffic roundabout and open space.
Late last year B/K Multifamily teamed up with Toll Brothers Apartment Living to develop a 259-unit apartment project in Frisco Square called the Kilby. The new land purchase is next door to the Kilby construction site.
"Our development team continues to focus on the long-term growth of Frisco," Mark Beneke said in a statement. "The city's aggressive pursuit of high paying jobs and investment have made it one of the most dynamic areas in North Texas."
Frisco Square is a 147-acre mixed-use project that was started almost 20 years ago. The project includes retail, apartments, office space, medical facilities and Frisco's city hall.
