As part of a broader leadership restructure to support future growth, Erlanger, Kentucky-based Fischer Homes has named Jason Finch as president. The private builder with a footprint across 11 markets in the Midwest and Southeast has separated the titles of president and chief operating officer to two distinct positions.
According to the company, the new structure helps support greater alignment, operational consistency, and long-term expansion across its employee base of approximately 800 associates. The company ranked 32nd on the 2026 Builder 100 list with 2,991 annual closings in 2025.

In the new role of president, Finch will oversee the execution of Fischer Homes’ home building strategy across its market footprint. Jay Smith will remain in the chief operating officer role, a position he has held since 2023.

Finch joined Fischer Homes in 2013 and has held increasingly senior roles in sales, division operations, and regional leadership. He most recently served as region president for the South region, where he helped strengthen performance and operational consistency across multiple markets.
In the role of president, Finch will focus on aligning operations across Fischer Homes’ divisions, developing leadership and infrastructure to support long-term growth targets, and strengthening collaboration among key business functions.
