Northern Virginia home buyers with imperfect credit or limited savings will be able to apply for financing to become first-time home buyers under a new Hope International home buying program. Announced Jan. 22 by U.S. Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.), the new financing will be available through a $40 million lease-purchase initiative that includes financial support from Freddie Mac, the Fairfax County government, the Harrisonburg Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and Hope International. The Northern Virginia BIA will work with Hope to encourage borrowers to use the program.
