Del Webb Absorbed

1 MIN READ

By Alison Rice. Ten months after acquiring Del Webb, Pulte has dissolved the active adult builder as a separate division and integrated it into the Michigan builder’s overall operations.

“This is about gaining a single face to avoid confusion in the marketplace” with land sellers, suppliers, and subcontractors, says Jim Zeumer, Pulte’s vice president of investor relations. Pulte will continue to use the Del Webb name for its active adult communities, a brand that it plans to expand to Massachusetts and New Jersey.

Former Del Webb president Anne Mariucci will become senior vice president of strategic planning for Pulte. The company has also added a new position: vice president of active adult development.
