NARI Launches New Remodeling Professional Certification

1 MIN READ

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has launched two new professional certification programs: Universal Design Certified Remodeler (UDCR) and the Master Certified Remodeler (MCR).

The UDCR program was developed to recognize remodeling contractors who have demonstrated expertise in applying the principles of universal design to residential remodeling projects, as well as through completed coursework.

NARI’s new MCR designation recognizes remodelers who have held an active Certified Remodeler designation for at least 10 years, have at least one other NARI certification, and hold a leadership position in a local NARI chapter or community. The organization recently announced that Fred Case, founder, co-chairman, and CEO of Bethesda, Md.-based Case Design/Remodeling and Case Handyman and Remodeling Services, is the first recipient of the new MCR designation.

Application packets for both new certification programs are now available on NARI’s website, www.nari.org.
