KB Home (NYSE: KBH) on Friday announced the grand opening of Skyler at Millenia, its latest community of new homes in San Diego County. The company also said the new neighborhood will soon be joined by three others as KB expands operations in San Diego County.

The floor plans available at Skyler at Millenia will be open to the public on Saturday, December 2nd, and Sunday, December 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, as KB Home unveils the community’s model homes.

Skyler is sited within Chula Vista’s newest master planned community, Millenia, which offers residents a walkable neighborhood, planned parks and schools, along with abundant nearby shopping, entertainment and nightlife. KB Home plans to construct a total of 79 single-family residences at Skyler at Millenia, available in two modern three-story home designs of 2,602 and 2,659 square feet, which can accommodate up to four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a two-car-garage and an additional parking space for each home owner. Pricing starts from the $590,000s.

“Given the highly land-constrained nature of the market, and rising consumer demand for new homes in the region, we are pleased to be celebrating the grand opening of Skyler at Millenia,” said Steve Ruffner, regional general manager and president of KB Home’s Coastal division. “This new community is a prominent addition to the diverse mix of locations, home styles, and design choices KB Home offers and highlights our growing business in San Diego County.”

In addition to choosing the home’s community location, floor plan, and exterior design style, home buyers can adjust structural features to best suit their needs, such as converting bonus rooms into additional bedrooms, or adding a personal elevator. Home buyers can then select from a wide range of flooring, cabinets, lighting, and other interior finishes and amenities with the help of a design professional at the KB Home Studio, a retail-like center, to fit their taste and budget.

All new KB homes in San Diego County, including those at Skyler at Millenia, will be built to ENERGY STAR 3.0® guidelines and include WaterSense® labeled faucets and fixtures, meaning they are designed to be more energy- and water-efficient than most typical new and resale homes available in the area. In addition, all KB homes at Skyler at Millenia will be built to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s exacting indoor air quality guidelines under its Indoor airPLUS label, marking the first time a builder in San Diego County has constructed an entire community of new Indoor airPLUS labeled homes.
