Alaska Land Grab

Even cities in the largest state have land issues. Jim Jackson, president of the Anchorage HBA, predicts a large decline in new-home construction over the next two years, primarily because of dwindling land resources in Anchorage, Alaska. The group is forecasting a 40 percent decline in single-family home construction by 2005.
