KB Home was the first major home builder to publish a sustainability report, and since the construction of its first Energy Star home in 2000, it has moved toward greater advances in affordable, sustainable home building.

Through 2015, KB had built more than 95,000 Energy Star certified homes, among others, resulting in annual savings of 1.1 billion gallons of water and more than $28 million in utility bills for homeowners. KB’s future goals include building a neighborhood of net-zero energy homes.
