By Alison Rice. Hovnanian Enterprises has added another Texas builder to its portfolio. In January, the New Jersey-based public builder purchased Brighton Homes, a Houston company that closed 750 homes between November 2001 and October 2002. The buy boosts Hovnanian’s presence to number seven in Houston, a market it entered in November 2002 with the acquisition of Parkside Homes.
