According to a study by marketing research company, Traqline, Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears account for 59% of all U.S. hand tool sales. The top five tools (by sales volume) are screwdrivers (17%), tape measures, hammers, staple guns, and utility knives. The data encompasses all sales and includes both pros and DIYers.
