Kicking off sales at five new communities across central Iowa, Lennar has entered the Des Moines market. Introducing a new pathway for Des Moines-area buyers, the launch marks the No. 2 builder’s first operations in the state.
“Des Moines is one of the most compelling housing markets in the country right now—a growing economy, a strong job base, and families who want a quality new home at an attainable price point,” says Seth Moulton, division president of Lennar’s Iowa division. “Opening five communities at once says everything about how committed we are to this market. We’re not dipping a toe in. We’re here to build.”
Model homes in all five communities are open to the public and offer three brand new designs. The communities include Cross Creek, Deer Run, Southbridge, Spring Creek Ridge North, and Woodbury.
Stretching across the Des Moines metro, the designs in the five communities all offer an open-concept main level and a flexible layout built around how families live, Lennar says. With a range of exterior styles, the homes span from 1,592 to 2,262 square feet with three to four bedrooms and two to two-and-a-half bathrooms.
Built with the company’s ‘Everything’s Included’ promise, the homes are designed to make homeownership accessible with move-in ready homes. Lennar Mortgage, the company’s in-house lending division, has also entered the market.
