David Weekly Homes, the No. 17 company on the 2026 Builder 100 list, has added two executives to its C-suite: chief financial officer (CFO) Adam Zylman and chief marketing officer (CMO) Julian Duncan. Duncan will serve as the organization’s first CMO.

Adam Zylman

“Adam and Julian bring tremendous experience that will be valuable as we continue to grow David Weekley Homes,” said CEO Jay Brown. “Adam’s experience investing in and building businesses will bring valuable perspective to our financial strategy. Julian’s experience building brands and connecting customers will strengthen our marketing. They both put people and culture first, which makes them a great fit for Weekley.”

Zylman founded Grey Owl Partners and previously served as president and CEO of Sunland Capital, which he co-founded in 2009. He has spent more than a decade in private equity and investment banking with SCF Partners and Merrill Lynch’s Global Energy & Power Group. The builder said his experience in investments, finance, and building businesses will bring additional perspective to David Weekley’s financial planning and strategy.

Julian Duncan

Dunan most recently served as the chief marketing and strategy officer for the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association. He previously served as the chief marketing officer for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the National Football League. He spent more than a decade with Nike and Under Armour, working with global brands and top names in the sports industry. David Weekley Homes said his experience will help the company connect brand and marketing strategy to its broader business goals and identify new ways to reach customers and support long-term growth.

Zylman will replace longtime CFO Heather Humphrey, who will retire after 33 years with David Weekley Homes. Humphrey has helped shape the company’s financial and technological direction and played an integral role in bringing employee ownership to the company through the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan in 2018.

“Heather has made an incredible impact on David Weekley Homes over the past 33 years,” Brown said. “Her leadership and discipline have helped shape our company, but what I’ll appreciate most is the way she always put Weekley and our people first. We’re incredibly grateful for everything Heather has given to this company and the lasting impact she’ll leave behind.”
