Trane and American Standard Heating and Air Conditioning have introduced the next generation of connected 24-volt smart thermostats, designed to transform the thermostat from a simple control device into a whole-home comfort platform.
The new Trane Priority Smart Thermostat and American Standard Gold Smart Thermostat are compatible with most 24-volt HVAC systems, offering homeowners enhanced comfort, energy efficiency, and remote control while helping HVAC dealers streamline installation and service.
“The 24-volt smart thermostats combine high-end homeowner appeal with dealer-focused advantages like simplified installation and advanced diagnostics that help streamline service and reduce unnecessary visits,” says Paul Parish, executive leader of digital, residential HVAC, Trane Technologies. “By connecting homeowners and dealers through a smarter, data-driven platform, we’re enabling more efficient businesses, stronger customer relationships, and setting the foundation for continued growth in connected HVAC performance.”
The thermostats feature a low-profile design with an edge-to-edge glass touchscreen interface and app-based controls through the Trane Home mobile app. Homeowners can monitor and adjust settings remotely and integrate the system with Google Home and Amazon Alexa for voice control. When paired with the optional remote temperature and humidity sensor, the system can provide a more complete view of whole-home conditions and enable more precise humidity management.
For dealers, the platform includes smart diagnostics, real-time system performance data, and proactive repair insights designed to reduce unnecessary service visits. Toolless push terminals and universal 24-volt compatibility simplify installation, while long-range Sub-GHz wireless connectivity supports flexible placement of remote sensors.
