Product Pick of the Week: ZLINE Introduces Range Hood Inserts

The new DuraMount range hood inserts were designed to make the custom range hood look more approachable.

ZLINE Kitchen and Bath recently launched its new line of DuraMount range hood inserts.

The DuraMount platform features a rigid, folded-steel frame with reinforced triangle supports and staggered, overlapping mounting points. This configuration ensures a stud-stabilized fit aligned with standard 16-inch on-center framing without requiring additional internal bracing.

Available in four sizes—28, 34, 40, and 46 inches—DuraMount inserts are engineered to fit standard 30-, 36-, 42-, and 48-inch custom hood enclosures. To accommodate varying cooking demands, the 28-inch model uses a single 500 CFM motor, while the larger configurations feature a 700 CFM dual-motor system.

The advantage of the DuraMount platform is its patented hanging design. Installation screws are leveled first, allowing the insert to slide directly onto pre-set keyholes. This eliminates the need for prolonged heavy lifting, creating a swift and straightforward mounting process.

“Traditional wall-mount range hood inserts are complex, heavy, and often require multiple installers,” notes Mason Watkins, senior director of marketing for ZLINE. “DuraMount effectively mitigates structural installation barriers, giving the homeowner more capability when it comes to building a custom range hood.”

Constructed with brushed 430-grade stainless steel, the inserts boast rust- and corrosion-resistant properties to ensure a long lifespan.

Beyond durability, DuraMount delivers professional-grade airflow performance and ultra-quiet operation. Each insert comes equipped with an intuitive push-button control panel to manage four distinct fan speeds, energy-efficient adjustable LED lighting to illuminate the cooking surface below, and dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters that make cleanup minimal.
