Lennar said late Wednesday it has begun building single-family homes and townhomes in Touchstone, a new residential community near Tampa that is positioned for first-time home buyers and military families looking for a home that’s a good value and a quick drive to downtown Tampa, Brandon or MacDill Air Force Base.
Touchstone is located near I-75 and the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway, north of Riverview and west of Brandon. The community is near the Topgolf sports entertainment complex and Causeway Boulevard in Brandon, which has several shopping centers along with restaurants and retailers like Ford’s Garage, Costco, Longhorn Steakhouse and LA Fitness.
Downtown Tampa is nine miles away, and MacDill Air Force Base is 18 miles away – both by taking the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway.
The community will have 998 home sites and a variety of floor plans of single-family homes and townhomes.
The fifteen single-family floor plans range from 1,461 to 3,326 square feet. The floor plans include The Columbia, which has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a 2-car garage. The two-story floor plan has an open loft as well as an abundance of storage space – from a large pantry, to an oversized walk-in closet in the master suite, to additional walk-in closets in other bedrooms. The Columbia starts in the $240s.
Touchstone also has two spacious townhome floor plans starting in the $170s: The Glenmoor at 1,541 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, and The Hampton at 1,634 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
The community also has a wide range of family-friendly amenities, such as a splash pad, resort-style pool, clubhouse, fitness center and several parks and green spaces.
