Project Description

This HPD project, comprised of two new buildings on the east side of 5th Avenue between West 118th and West 119th Streets, takes advantage of an opportunity to re-establish the block-front that has been left incomplete for many years. The mid-block building at No.1465 has 75 ft. of street frontage while No.1473 is a corner site with 50 ft. of frontage on 5th Avenue and 85 ft. of frontage on West 119th Street. Both new buildings are thematically similar and are intended to relate architecturally to the early 20th century context of the surrounding neighborhood.
With a total of 54 units for both buildings, the apartment types range from studios to 3-bedroom units with the majority being 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
Both buildings feature private and public paved roof terraces, private balconies for many of the units, recreation space in the cellar. Residential entrances front 5th Avenue and lead to well-appointed lobbies with concierge service.
