Abelardo Gonzalez founded his practice, Abelardo Gonzalez Arkitektbyrå, in 1980 and has since then received numerous international awards, such as first prize in Architectural Review for the renowned project “Hotell Tunneln”, honorable mention at the 9th Biennale of Interior Design Creativity and several other prizes at Tarkett’s 50th Anniversary in Stockholm. In 2005 he received the prestigious Golden Diploma for Sweden’s Best Interior for his design for Gamer’s Paradise in Malmö. In 2008 he was the first architect ever to receive Halmstad’s Architectural Prize for a private residence, Villa T.

Abelardo Gonzalez is Professor Emeritus at LTH School of Architecture, Lund, Sweden, where he for many years also was Chairman of the School Board. After completed studies at Córdoba National University, Argentina, and doctorate studies at Stettin University of Technology, Poland, Abelardo has been active as Chairman of The Swedish Association of Interior Designers, Southern Sweden.
