Honeywell has acquired structured wiring vendor FutureSmart Systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed and no regulatory approvals were required. David Gottlieb, a Honeywell spokesperson, says FutureSmart will operate at its headquarters in Draper, Utah, as part of Honeywell’s Security Products business, the unit that markets the Ademco brand name. “A lot of our installers are already in this business, so having a structured wiring offering is a logical extension of our security business,” says Gottlieb. Jacqueline E. Soechtig will be staying on as FutureSmart’s CEO.
