Specialty contractors in California say the copper plumbing you are using in your homes is a costly problem.

The copper industry agrees that the whole issue is about money but of a different sort. “Copper displaced galvanized steel and now as plastic has been introduced, [the plastics industry] is simply trying to displace copper as the primary plumbing material,” says Kireta.
